| Dear Faculty, Staff and MPP --
The Cal Poly Women’s Club (CPWC) would like to be among
the first to welcome you in joining Cal Poly, one of the
finest universities along the west coast.
Thank you for visiting the Cal Poly Women’s Club
web page. Here is an overview of our purpose, activities, and
the benefits of membership.
CPWC was established in 1924 for women
faculty/staff members and faculty and staffs’ wives. Its purpose
is to provide social and cultural activities for the members;
to promote the welfare of the students; and to be of service
to the University. CPWC general meetings, social events and
sections activities offer various programs and fellowship to
members.
CPWC Sections include a wide range of interests for
members. They include:
- Art and Music
- Home and
Garden
- Dine Around
- Morning Bridge
- Morning Gourmet
- Needlework
- Books
- Knitting Newcomers
- Professional
Women
- Travel
You can sign-up for any numbers of these
Sections at the Fall Reception held every September, or you may
also visit a section at any time.
Please consider joining the CPWC. Our dues are
$20.00 a year, payable to our Treasurer, Jane Batterson
(rbatterson@calpoly.edu). Jane will need your name, address,
department and college, phone number and e-mail address if
available. You will be included in our directory, which comes
out in September of each year. Throughout the year new members
are announced in our monthly flyer.
Again, welcome on board. We look forward to meeting
you and sincerely wishing you and yours a very successful
year!
Warmest wishes,
